ALL OF THESE PEOPLE ARE SO AMAZING. it would take so much courage to stand up in front of people like that.

If my daughter came to me and told me she was gay I would tell her not to be afraid to hold her girlfriend’s hand. I wouldn’t disown her. I would hold her close and tell her how proud I am that she isn’t afraid to be herself. If she ever received death threats or hate mail from friends or family, I would tell her to live her life to make herself happy. The others do not matter and will not ever matter. If her school wouldn’t let her go to prom, well, party at my house. Her happiness means the world to me and if means someone of the same sex makes her happy, well so be it. That, I believe, is how all parents should be.
